This long bead is made of multiple layers of Bullseye glass, alternating with silver foil. I then burnt off silver leaf on the surface, leaving little sections clear to show the foil underneath.
It measures 2" long, and is approximately 1/2" at the widest point. It was made on a 3/32" mandrel.
This is one of my favorite beads, made in a technique I will definitely use often. It has the look of a Japanese brush painting. It will be perfect as a pendant, or the focal point of your newest design.
As with all my beads, this one has been kiln annealed for strength and durability, but remember that it IS glass, and treat it with care.
I have tried my best to present colors as accurately as possible but monitors will vary.
