I created this long bicone bead of soft glass, and then applied and subsequently burnt off a layer of silver leaf, followed by a spattering of reduction frit. This method has given the bead the look of a Japanese brush painting. Each side of the bead appears to be a different aspect of a landscape scene.
It is 1 15/16" long, and approximately 5/8" at the widest point. This bead is definitely destined to be the focal point of a wonderful piece of jewelry art.
As with all my beads, this one has been kiln annealed for strength and durability, but remember that it IS glass, and treat it with care.
I have tried my best to present colors as accurately as possible but monitors will vary.
