Lampworked Shells Necklace and Earrings with small Pearls

This is a beautiful necklace and earring set.

The necklace is composed of 3 elements: the shell beads, the 3 spiral beads at the back of the neck, and the strands of mini pearls, linked together with tiny gold filled beads and findings.

It measures 24"; the shell pendant is 4" including the fringe.

I created the shells first; they are lampworked of Bullseye Glass with Pixie Dust applied to impart a subtle luster. And they are hollow, as shells usually are. They have been kiln annealed for durability and strength, but they ARE glass, and should be handled as such.

Once I had done the shells, the rest of the piece just fell into place. It is the perfect replacement for a pearl necklace worn with the classic LBD (Little Black Dress); but would be equally effective with a sweater and slacks (or even jeans).

The matching pair of Shell earrings was created to perfectly compliment this elegant necklace.
