Lampworked Saturn Focus Bead, Black, Purple, and Silver

This lampworked focus bead is made of black soft glass, with encased silver foil and fine silver droplets on the surface. It has a rippled saturn band around its circumference, adding to the interest.

It measures 7/8" x 1 3/16", and was made on a 3/16" mandrel. It is semi-hollow to reduce its weight, but with thicker walls to reduce its fragility.

This bead would be a fantastic focal point of a necklace, but can also stand on its own on a chain or cord.

As with all my beads, this one has been kiln annealed for strength and durability, but remember that it IS glass, and treat it with care.
